During the Design phase, you'll get ready to put
your transition plan in motion. You'll start by defining how to implement your
plan. This involves sizing the system to address your workload requirements and
identifying the tools and methods you'll use to move your data and applications
to the target server and establish the timeframe parameters. Also, you may find
it helpful to do a proof-of-concept to verify that your design will meet your
business objectives.
HP has developed tools and
techniques that help customers design a smooth transition to HP Integrity
servers. You can choose to work with HP or design your transition plan using
your own transition team.
