The Five Phases of the Transition Process: Awareness

apdim awareness

In the Awareness phase, identify the business benefits of transitioning to HP Integrity servers. Review your IT infrastructure from financial, operational and functional perspectives. Which areas need improvement? What is the most cost-effective solution to achieve these improvements?

Four major transition approaches (not mutually exclusive) are available:

  • Integrate HP Integrity servers into your existing AlphaServer infrastructure
  • Consolidate multiple systems onto fewer servers to reduce TCO; either on Integrity servers or AlphaServers
  • Replace existing AlphaServers without re-architecting the solution stack (those applications that comprise your solution environment)
  • Re-architect your solution environment and install it on Integrity server
