Why do today’s enterprise customers need to be agile and adaptive? When we ask our customers what keeps them up at night, the universal response is “change.” The keys to mastering this pervasive change and driving faster, smarter business decisions are agility and adaptability.

By synchronizing business and information technology—and making IT flexible enough to deliver what businesses need, when they need it—HP’s Adaptive Enterprise strategy helps enterprises capitalize on change. Benefits include lower costs, unified management, real-time responsiveness, and more consistent business processes.
Nora Denzel
The HP NonStop platform has supported mission-critical business applications for years. As the foundation for HP’s Zero Latency Enterprise (ZLE) architecture, it also supports real-time integration of data and applications across the enterprise with continuous application availability. HP continues to leverage this important technology through the Adaptive Enterprise.

Real-time solutions based on the ZLE architecture enhance existing IT investments, nonintrusively extending the strengths of the NonStop platform to heterogeneous application environments. NonStop servers and solutions leverage industry standards and provide a virtualized environment for mission-critical and real-time operations.

Within this issue of 24x7, you’ll find many examples of how NonStop servers and the ZLE architecture are making a difference in today’s dynamic business climate. Key customers such as SHAZAM, Sabre Holdings, Sprint, NYCE, and PULSE EFT discuss the importance of NonStop technology to the success of their operations. Jerry Silva of TowerGroup provides fascinating insight into the growing need for real-time channel integration in the retail banking environment.

Strategic partners round out NonStop solutions for the HP Adaptive Enterprise; our articles on several key partners explain how. Also included are a ZLE architecture overview (including a look at industry-specific real-time solutions built on the underlying ZLE framework), a closer look at HP Services, and more.

To master the unique opportunities presented by today’s challenging business environment, companies must be quick enough—and flexible enough—to make the most of change. This is what the HP Adaptive Enterprise is all about, and NonStop servers and ZLE technology are critical elements of the strategy.

Sincerely,
Nora Denzel
