| My name is Blake Carlson with B&C Packing. I’ve been in the packing business for over twenty years now. One of our biggest issues in the packing industry is being able to code and mark our boxes properly. We’ve wrestled with it for… every year, year in year out, as long as I remember. Finally, two years ago we came across Produce Jet and we asked if we can devise a system that could code our boxes clear and legibly for trace back purposes and also to do the multiple different style packages that we do. Produce Jet came across RSI and they together developed a system that will clearly and adequately mark and code every container that we pack today… without missing a single beat.
So using the Produce Jet/RSI along with the Hewlett-Packard technology has made our job much simpler in marking our boxes. Today we can mark seven different styles of containers at one time. We have little mess in the packing shed. Before, we had ink on the floor and on the conveyers… today we are clean. And it marks so clearly and legibly our retailers across the country have no problem for trace back.
