Customers receive further reassurance through extended warranties:
- All workstations and displays, and many desktops, notebooks and tablets, already have three-year warranties.
- Warranties of shorter length for Desktops, Notebooks, Tablets and handheld devices can be extended to three years.
- Warranties for all of the above (except handheld devices) can be extended to four or five years.
Customers also benefit from lower, more predictable IT costs. By simply adding services at the time of purchase, customers instantly put a backup plan in place that helps them predict and control costs over the life of their equipment.
When equipment does fail, their IT managers continue with core administrative activities instead of trying to fix balky equipment. If international support is needed, HP’s global support infrastructure, with offices in 143 countries, is available. |

- Warranty extension: Extends the warranty coverage of a product to match the length of time you expect to use it.
- Hour same business day hardware support: Increases equipment availability and productivity with rapid onsite response for issues that cannot be resolved remotely. (Available either 9x5: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding HP holidays; or 24x7: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year).
- Accidental damage protection: Helps avoid repair or replacement costs due to mishaps that occur during normal operation of mobile devices. Examples of accidental damage include: liquid spills, drops, falls, collisions, electrical surges, damaged or broken LCD, or any accidental breakage. A unit may have to be repaired or replaced at an HP-designated location, as some replacement parts may not be available locally.
- Next business day onsite response: For issues that cannot be resolved remotely, an authorized HP Services representative arrives onsite the next day after a call that falls within a contracted service window has been logged. HP Services returns covered hardware to operational condition, repair in or replacing components or entire units as necessary. Coverage includes all required parts and materials.
- Next business day exchange: A permanent replacement unit is shipped overnight via premium airfreight. Shipping charges—for both the returned and replacement products—are prepaid by HP. Replacement units are new or refurbished to like-new condition.
- Traveler service: Assures consistent service in any of over 50 countries while traveling with a notebook PC.
- Post-warranty service: Continues the service delivered under the warranty or HP Care Pack. This option is available only within 90 days of the expiration of service/warranty. (End-of-service life must be more than one year out for service to be available.)
- Installation: Install product, run tests and diagnostics, provide orientation on the product, and answer usage and maintenance questions.
