Technological Advances

  • Lightweight models of 1.36 kg average weight.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11b) with wireless (LAN) capability.

Features to consider

  • Minimum 1.6 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM and 30 GB hard drive.
  • If you will be using it for customer presentations, an active matrix screen is better.
  • To use your product on a LAN or with a broadband connection, (XDSL, cable modem, etc.) you will need a built-in 10/100 Ethernet connection.
  • If you are using an always-on Internet connection (XDSL or cable modem), you should consider a backup device for your computer, a personal protection software and virus protection software.
  • You should consider a PCMCIA Card Slot for maximum flexibility.
  • If you want to work at your desk but also need a notebook, you should consider a docking station.
