Features to consider

What printer should I use? 

• HP LaserJet, black and white: high-volume black and white printing.
• Photosmart Printers: little-volume photo-quality printing.
• Color LaserJets or Business InkJet: high-volume color printing.
• OfficeJets: multifunction device (printer, scanner, fax, copier, etc.).
• DeskJets: little-volume color printing, also used as portable printer.

For color printing:

• Use PhotoREt III or PhotoREt IV quality printers to obtain photo-quality prints. Make sure you are using the appropriate paper for this print type.
• Cost per page: In most cases, printing at home instead of using a business printing service will help you save money.
• If you are printing brochures or postcards, or any image on thick paper, check that the printer manages this paper type.
• Consider printers with Secure Digital, CompactFlash®, Smart Media, or Sony memory cards for ease of use with digital cameras.
• When printing, check that you are using the appropriate paper; professional-looking prints will depend on that.
