JASON FRIED

Entrepreneur and author Jason Fried is the cofounder of 37signals, a company specializing in the development of online Web tools. The company's products, including Basecamp and Backpack, have over three million users worldwide. In 2004, 37signals released Ruby on Rails, which has become the platform that enables such applications as Hulu and Twitter. Recently, Fried has been most involved with the idea of designing the optimal workplace in order to build better business. Along with coauthoring all of 37signal's books, including the recently released REWORK, Fried is a frequent speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship, management and software.
