Secure Shell is an industry-standard set of protocols and programs that enhance the security of network-based tasks. It offers the equivalent functionality of telnetd, rlogin, remsh, rcp, and ftp — but in a truly secure manner, with strong user authentication and encrypted network connections. Therefore, it is now often recommended for use in place of such programs.
This seminar provides a full overview of the features of Secure Shell on HP-UX; information on installation and configuration, including “how it really works”; and tips and techniques for troubleshooting your installation. It is intended for any system or network administrator who is considering installing or using Secure Shell, or anyone who is new to using it and would like a more detailed understanding of how it works and how to manage it effectively.
Offered: May 23, 2008 and August 29, 2008
To register: If you have an HP Proactive Software Support Contract, contact your HP Proactive Support Representative (ASC/ASM/TAM, RSAA, CE or other) and let them know you are interested in attending one of the Technical On-line Seminar presentations.
