SanLoader provides a GUI front end that allows the user
to easily upgrade the Brocade fiber switches firmware (FOS).
The SanLoader application has a FTP server built in that
allows the user to effortlessly upgrade Brocade switches
without using the Command line Interface.
Data Center Fabric Manager (DCFM) is an application that
allows the SAN administrator to manage a switched
environment utilizing Brocade fiber switches. Both the
Professional and the Enterprise edition will be discussed.
This course will discuss how to use SanLoader to backup
Brocade configuration, run supportsave and supportshow
commands. This course will also delve into the latest
firmware and the steps necessary to not only upgrade the
Linux based switches but the older VxWorks Brocade switches.
This course will then delve into the DCFM application and
present an overview of this application.
This seminar targets SAN administrators who support a SAN
environment that utilizes Brocade fiber switches. Basic
knowledge of a fiber switched environment and disk arrays is
needed and assumed
