The Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) easily accommodates boot sequences for HP-UX as well as other Itanium-supported operating systems including Windows and Linux.

Attend this event for a brief overview of the EFI architecture followed by useful information on navigating and managing HP-UX boot. You’ll learn how to decode the EFI hardware addressing scheme, how to view and manage boot disk structures, and how to manage stable storage boot paths. The session culminates with a “cookbook” for mirroring HP-UX boot drives and tips to help you prepare for boot-related problems. It is designed for system administrators with basic HP-UX and UNIX skills.

Offered: May 20, 2008; September 18, 2008; October 23, 2008

To register: If you have an HP Proactive Software Support Contract, contact your HP Proactive Support Representative (ASC/ASM/TAM, RSAA, CE or other) and let them know you are interested in attending one of the Technical On-line Seminar presentations.
