Through the HP Technology for Teaching initiative, HP has invested $60 million in education since 2004, benefiting over 1000 educational institutions in 41 countries. Faculty who participate in the HP Technology for Teaching initiative develop emerging best practices for transforming both teaching and learning through the innovative use of technology. A few of the innovations occurring at the K-12 level include:

  • Empowering students with rapid access to information
  • Unleashing collaboration
  • Teaching with the world as your classroom
  • Transforming lecture time to discussion time

See some of the classroom best practices here.

ISTE Classroom Observation Tool (ICOTŪ)
The ISTE Classroom Observation Tool (ICOTŪ) is a FREE online tool that provides a set of questions to guide classroom observations of a number of key components of technology integration. The tool is a valuable, free resource made possible by funding from HP for teachers, administrators and researchers interested in effective technology integration in the K-12 classroom.
