HP announced its commitment to US National Lab Day, as part of its support for President Obama’s broader ‘Educate to Innovate’ drive to improve US students’ participation and performance in science, technology, engineering and math. HP is donating volunteer skilled resources, matched by HP technology and funding, to support the National Lab Day community goal of benefiting one million US students across the next school year.
HP is further committed to driving improvements in education across the world, through its global social innovation program. HP’s education focus is on strengthening educational systems and empowering socially-responsible entrepreneurs through the power of technology.
HP has launched three new global education initiatives:
1) HP Catalyst Initiative, to create a global network of educators and thought leaders who will work collaboratively to explore the future of science, technology, engineering and math education.
2) HP EdTech Innovators Award, to encourage and support educators who use technology in groundbreaking ways inside and outside the classroom.
3) HP LIFE (Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs), an e-skills training initiative to support students, aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, enabling them to harness the power of IT to benefit their businesses and communities across the world.
