Many schools and universities are struggling to keep pace with the rapid advance of information technology. Though some leading education institutions have embraced emerging technologies, most lack the resources and knowledge to effectively integrate these tools and resources into the classroom.
As a result, students worldwide are being deprived of valuable learning opportunities. This puts them at a disadvantage in a knowledge-based economy where the technologies—and jobs—of tomorrow are not yet known.
HP and the New Media Consortium (NMC) have teamed up to launch the HP EdTech Innovators Award to address this challenge. By showcasing the work of innovative educators—and helping them share their best practices—our aim is to accelerate the integration of information technology into curricula and teaching.
