HP Supports National Lab Day; Launches Technology Initiatives to Promote Education, Empower Entrepreneurs

HP today issued the following statement by Prith Banerjee, senior vice president of Research at HP and director of HP Labs, in recognition of National Lab Day:
“National Lab Day is part of a vitally needed effort to improve and expand education in science, technology, engineering and math. HP’s commitment to National Lab Day is part of a broader effort to drive innovation in education through its global social innovation program. Today, the company launched three new initiatives to strengthen educational systems and empower socially responsible entrepreneurs through the power of technology:
HP Catalyst Initiative, to create a global network of educators and thought leaders who will work collaboratively to explore the future of science, technology, engineering and math education.
HP EdTech Innovators Award, to encourage and support educators who use technology in groundbreaking ways inside and outside the classroom.
HP LIFE (Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs), an e-skills training initiative to support students, aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, enabling them to harness the power of IT to benefit their businesses and communities across the world.
