HP Appoints Bill Veghte to Lead HP Software and Solutions Business PALO ALTO, Calif., May 5, 2010 HP today announced that Bill Veghte has been appointed executive vice president of the company’s Software and Solutions business, effective May 17. Veghte will lead the $3.6 billion business unit, which includes a number of industry-leading offerings:
Veghte joins HP from Microsoft, where he most recently served as senior vice president for the $15 billion Windows business and where he was instrumental in the delivery and launch of Windows® 7. During his 20-year career at Microsoft, Veghte held a variety of executive roles in research and development, sales, services and marketing. Under his leadership, he built strong teams that delivered some of Microsoft’s most important products.
