HP Appoints Michael Hoffmann to Lead Supplies Business PALO ALTO, Calif., May 17, 2007HP today announced the appointment of Michael Hoffmann to senior vice president of the company’s imaging and printing supplies business, effective May 28. Hoffmann, 45, who has served since 2004 as senior vice president and general manager of HP’s Imaging and Printing Group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), will be responsible for continuing the company’s worldwide leadership in printing supplies through customer focus and innovation. He previously held the same position in the Asia Pacific and Japan region. A 19-year veteran of HP, Hoffmann will continue to report to Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group. He succeeds Pradeep Jotwani, who is leaving HP after 25 years to pursue other professional and personal interests. “After successfully running the imaging and printing business in two key regions, Michael is ideally suited to oversee our supplies business worldwide. He is a strong leader who has gained a rich understanding of our global customer needs,” said Joshi. “I would like to thank Pradeep for his enormous contributions to our business over the past two and a half decades. His leadership, acute judgment and business acumen have been important to our success.” As part of his previous roles, Hoffmann served in a variety of areas such as sales, operational supply chain, marketing, consumer support, category management and lead for the consumer go-to-market team. Hoffmann holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Saarbrücken, Germany. Succeeding Hoffmann in his EMEA role is Bill DeLacy, 46, a 20-year veteran of HP who has served the company in a variety of sales, marketing and management roles. Most recently, he was vice president and general manager of HP’s U.S. Consumer Business. Previously, DeLacy worked in sales, product management and market development in the United States and Europe for HP’s Network Printing business. DeLacy graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Northwood University, Michigan.
