HP and TIBCO Extend Choice for UNIX Customers

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 25, 2006

HP and TIBCO Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:TIBX) today announced that the HP-UX 11i operating system has been named as one of the preferred UNIX platforms for TIBCO global customers.

The expanded relationship significantly extends the market reach of HP Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i. It will also help enterprises optimize IT operations for business process management (BPM) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments.

“HP and TIBCO are providing Fortune 1000 customers with the real-time flexibility, availability and manageability required to power the most-demanding workloads,” said Don Jenkins, vice president of marketing, Business Critical Servers, HP. “For more than 10 years, HP and TIBCO have delivered unparalleled value through joint server and application tuning and optimization.”

TIBCO’s leading SOA and BPM solutions are expected to port to HP Integrity servers during the next twelve months. Initial efforts to port TIBCO Staffware Process Suite™ and the upcoming “Project Matrix” SOA offering are currently underway, while TIBCO Businessworks™, TIBCO Rendezvous®, and a number of TIBCO Adapters already support HP Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i.

“At TIBCO, we are dedicated to giving our customers flexibility of choice by supporting a wide range of hardware platforms to streamline complex processes and encourage business optimization,” said Sanjay Gupta, vice president, Global Alliances, TIBCO. “TIBCO’s commitment to HP Integrity servers solidifies our position for ensuring continued delivery of world-class offerings.”
