HP Elects John Hammergren to Board of Directors
PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 22, 2005
HP announced that John H. Hammergren, chairman, president and chief executive officer of McKesson Corporation, has joined HP's board of directors effective today.
HP announced on Aug. 29 that Hammergren had agreed to join its board. With his election, he becomes the 10th member of the board and its eighth outside director.
Hammergren, 46, has served since 1999 as a director of McKesson, a leading healthcare services and information technology company, with annual revenue of $80.5 billion in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2005. He was elected president and chief executive officer of the company in 2001 and chairman in 2002.
