HP Boosts PartnerONE Program with Seven Distributors to Better Serve Channel Partners and Customers

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 17, 2005

HP today announced the designation of seven distributor partners as part of the company’s channel sales program, PartnerONE.

The HP PartnerONE Distributors are chartered to deploy their resources in combination with HP to help ensure that channel partners are maximizing the tools and benefits available to them to better serve customers.

The companies in the United States that have earned the PartnerONE Distributor designation are: Agilysys, Inc., Arrow Electronics, Avnet, Bell Micro, Ingram Micro, Synnex and Tech Data. More than 100 people from these seven distributors have participated in ongoing and in-depth training on the HP PartnerONE program during the past 60 days.

“We believe this latest innovation in our award-winning PartnerONE program will drive further growth for HP, our distributors and our channel partners,” said John Thompson, vice president and general manager, Solution Partners Organization – Americas, HP. “As we enter the fourth year of our PartnerONE program, we are committed to supporting all our partners in growing their businesses, providing innovative technology solutions and making it easier to do business with HP.”

An HP PartnerONE Distributor can provide channel partners with easy access to information on the best ways to use PartnerONE program resources. The seven distributors will complement HP partner business managers, HP’s Partner Portal extranet website and the HP Call Center for partners.

Some examples of ways that PartnerONE Distributors will support channel partners:

Help them learn more about HP product promotions and guide them through the use of market demand tools, such as Campaign Central and Sales Engines;

Assist with PartnerONE benefits eligibility, including compensation and marketing tools, and leveraging those that will create the greatest return;

Aid in understanding which certifications and training are necessary to move to the next level within the PartnerONE program, which leads to greater benefits.

Requirements to become a PartnerONE Distributor include training a number of employees on the entire scope of PartnerONE and attending all PartnerONE trainings and updates hosted by HP.

More information on the PartnerONE program and partner initiatives is available at www.hp.com/partners/us/partnerone.
