HP Technology Forum 2005 to Feature Keynote Address by CEO Mark Hurd

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 8, 2005

HP today announced that Mark Hurd, the company's president and chief executive officer, will be the featured keynote speaker at HP's new signature technical training event, the HP Technology Forum 2005.

Hurd, who joined HP in April after previously serving as president and chief executive officer at NCR Corp., will address the forum attendees on the first day of the event, which will be held Sept. 12 - 15 in the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

The conference will be HP's largest technical training venue and product solution showcase in North America. Technical users will be able to network and learn about the latest HP technologies and services that can help their businesses become Adaptive Enterprises that are able to synchronize business and IT to capitalize on change.

Produced by HP in cooperation with participating independent HP user groups Encompass and OpenView Forum International, the forum will offer attendees more than 400 solution- and segment-oriented technical training and breakout sessions, more than 200 hands-on workshops and a 12,000-sq.-ft. demonstration area to enhance the learning experience. Former Ohio Senator and astronaut John Glenn will also speak at the event.

Conference attendees will include a broad base of HP customers and partners, including systems integrators, value-added resellers, independent software vendor partners, user groups and the HP Certified Professional community.
