HP Showcases Comprehensive Digital Print Solutions that Streamline Workflow from Capture to Delivery Live product demos at AIIM ON-DEMAND Conference and Expo PHILADELPHIA, May 16, 2005HP will showcase digital publishing solutions that cover the entire document management and publishing cycle at the AIIM ON-DEMAND Conference and Exposition, along with industry-standard products from 11 HP partners. Featured products include high-speed HP Indigo digital color presses and large-format solutions for digital pre-press, proofing, graphic design and professional photography. HP also launched the customer-focused HP Indigo "Press Your Advantage" program as well as a new HP Graphic Arts portal, which has been restructured to deliver improved content, more efficient navigation and a more personalized user experience. The most recent addition to the HP Indigo series, the HP Indigo press 5000 will be producing a wide range of offset-quality on-demand printing and variable data applications. Designed for mid-size to large-scale commercial printers, the seven-color HP Indigo press 5000 can print 4,000 offset-quality full color pages per hour. These include Duplo's new DC-645, Morgana's new DigiFold and Dorn's DMC 15. The Duplo DC 645 is an innovative cutting and creasing solution that simplifies and automates workflow. Combining slitting, cutting and creasing in one product, the DC-645 produces a wide variety of professional-quality, full-bleed applications such as business cards, greeting cards, invitations, brochures, pamphlets, catalogs, posters, CD/book covers, photographs and more. The DC-645 features an automatic high-capacity feeder, manages heavy substrates and large sheet sizes, and can produce a six-page folded brochure. The Morgana DigiFold combines the functions of creasing and folding in a single, fully automated, compact unit. Marrying Morgana's proven creasing technology with a new, patented folding method, the Morgana Digifold is designed to prevent marks or scratches on even the most sensitive materials. The Dorn DMC 15 is designed as an off-line, affordable, user-friendly coating line to meet the needs of the digital printing market. Coating of the printed output serves various customer needs such as protection against mechanical rub, sealing of the sheet to render solvent and chemical resistance and adds special appeal to the document with finishing in gloss, matte or satin.
