HP Appoints Global Communications Executive to Lead Corporate Communications Practice
PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 6, 2004
HP today announced that Pam Wickham has been named vice president of HP Corporate Communications.
Wickham brings extensive global communications expertise to her new position at HP, having served most recently as executive vice president of Global Communications at GE Healthcare, where she led strategy and overall communications direction for the $14 billion medical business.
In her new role, Wickham will lead HP's external communications strategy and oversee corporate media relations, corporate analyst relations, executive communications, and corporate events and tradeshows. She reports to Allison Johnson, senior vice president of Corporate Marketing at HP.
"We're excited to add such a seasoned global communications leader to our team," said Johnson. "Pam's extensive corporate, agency and global experience will provide key leadership as we continue to drive HP's visibility and profile in the global marketplace."
Wickham has more than a decade of experience in global communications at GE in the Healthcare, Medical Systems, Plastics and Corporate practices. During her tenure, she led communications programs on branding, product portfolio positioning and acquisition integration - all experiences that position her effectively for her responsibilities within HP Corporate Marketing.
Wickham received an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Oklahoma.
