HP Announces High-performance 17-inch Widescreen Notebook to Boost Productivity for Small and Medium Business Customers PALO ALTO, Calif., June 14, 2004HP today introduced a reliable, easy-to-use notebook PC with the power of a desktop built to meet the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses. The HP Compaq Business Notebook nx9500 can help increase productivity with its 17-inch widescreen display, allowing for simultaneous viewing of multiple applications, and its built-in numeric keypad. The nx9500 requires less physical space than a desktop PC and reduces cable clutter, making it ideal for smaller work spaces. "The nx9500 provides a mobile desktop experience, keeping users connected and productive with a wide screen that allows simultaneous viewing of multiple applications for easier document collaboration and communication." The nx9500 also offers integrated industry-standard 802.11g, modem and LAN solutions for wired or wireless connectivity. Sharing and transferring files is quick and simple with the nx9500's five-in-one media slot. Including Secure Digital (SD), MultiMedia Card (MMC), Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and Smart Media, this feature allows fast file sharing of presentations, forms, digital images and other large files. Additionally, four USB ports provide faster connections to external devices such as additional hard drives, printers and digital cameras, making large files easier to transfer and share.
