HP Brings Digital Imaging and Entertainment Solutions Direct to Consumers with Launch of Nationwide "YOU + HP Experience" Interactive Tour PALO ALTO, Calif., April 1, 2004HP today announced the launch of the "YOU + HP Experience" mobile interactive tour, which aims to educate consumers on how HP Real Life Technologies - a wide variety of HP digital photography and entertainment products - can enhance their everyday experiences. An extension of HP's $300 million "YOU + HP" marketing and advertising campaign, the "YOU + HP Experience" tour evolved from the success of the mobile, three-vehicle "Bringing it Home Tour" campaign of 2002-03, which was parked at more than 1,000 events; visited by more than 700,000 people; and generated a 95 percent favorable response from visitors. More hands-on and larger than the Bringing it Home tour, the "YOU + HP Experience" is a modular, fully enclosed structure that can be configured in three footprints (4,000, 6,400 and 8,000 square feet), depending on the event location. In the next year, the tour is projected to have 900,000 visitors use HP products at 45 major consumer events in the United States and Canada - including the Indianapolis 500, Milwaukee's Summerfest, the Taste of Dallas, the New York State Fair, and NCAA and NFL football games. "As an extension of the 'YOU + HP' ad campaign launched last fall, we've designed the 'YOU + HP Experience' tour as a fully interactive environment that features the best of today's digital photography and entertainment solutions," said Kathy Stromberg, vice president of marketing, Americas, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. "By bringing HP Real Life Technologies directly to consumers, we're inspiring and empowering them to enhance their everyday lives with fun and easy-to-use products." The "YOU + HP Experience" is free and offers something educational and entertaining for everyone. The structure features more than 25 easy-to-use HP products in a dozen immersion concourses - showcasing the depth and breadth of HP's digital photography and entertainment products. For example:
Onsite and online visitors can also enter the "Win With HP" sweepstakes, which will award prizes to 30 winners every six weeks. The "YOU + HP Experience" structure was designed and constructed by Infinity Marketing Team of Los Angeles. Staffing will be provided by Infinity, Marketsource Corp. and HP employees. Upcoming schedule During April, the "YOU + HP Experience" structure will be open to visitors in St. Louis (St. Louis Cardinals Opening Series), Toronto (Canada National Home Show) and New Orleans (PGA Tour - HP Classic). Other events where HP will be visible during the month, in a scaled-down structure, include the NCAA Final Four Championship in San Antonio, the Boston Marathon and Fitness Expo, and the 130th Kentucky Derby and Oaks in Louisville, Ky.
