HP Extends Worldwide Leadership in Server Market Shipments
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 28, 2003
HP (NYSE:HPQ) is the No. 1 vendor of servers worldwide, with 29 percent unit market share for the first calendar quarter of 2003, according to preliminary results released today by Gartner Dataquest.(1) HP leads its closest competition by 9 percentage points.
HP also maintains a strong position in server unit shipments in the United States, with the Gartner Dataquest results showing HP in second place in market share shipments by a margin of less than 2 percent.
