HP to Showcase Security Solutions and Services at RSA Conference

Offerings Reduce Complexity of Building Secure and Flexible Enterprises

During this week's RSA Conference, HP (NYSE:HPQ) plans to showcase a comprehensive portfolio of products and services designed to simplify the protection of customers' computing environments.

These solutions support HP's adaptive infrastructure strategy to allow customers to efficiently adapt their IT infrastructures to changing market conditions and customer demand. At the show, HP will deliver news crossing several security segments, including:

• Linux: HP intends to unveil the HP Firewall/VPN Server -- Check Point Edition, which delivers information security to enterprise customers and leverages the scalability, price and performance advantages of the Linux operating system. The HP Firewall/VPN server is Check Point OPSEC certified and available on industry-standard HP ProLiant servers. Customers purchasing the solution during calendar year 2003 receive one year of support from HP Services at no charge.
  
  
• UNIX®: HP plans to announce Install-time Security for HP-UX 11i, which allows customers to select a pre-defined security level at the time of server installation and have systems automatically perform many security operations -- such as firewall and password policy configuration -- as a result.
  
  
• Networking: HP plans to announce the availability of the HP Atalla Secure Configuration Assistant, an easy-to-use set of tools to configure, manage and inject keys into HP Atalla Ax100 Network Security Processor products.
  
  
• Printing: HP intends to announce the HP Atalla Trusted PrintMail Center, an integrated, secure solution for in-house generation and printed distribution of sensitive data such as customer personal identification numbers or cryptographic key components.

Georg will deliver a keynote address titled, "Building Secure Adaptive Solutions" at 2 p.m. on April 16 in the North Hall of San Francisco's Moscone Center.

During the show, HP and its partners also plan to demonstrate a wide array of products and services at HP booth 608. These demonstrations include:

• HP Utility Data Center for virtual provisioning of security resources;
• HP OpenView for consolidated, real-time security event management;
• HP Firewall/VPN Server -- Check Point Edition for professional-grade security running on Linux;
• HP Install-time Security for HP-UX 11i using HP-UX Bastille running on an Itanium®-based system;
• HP-UX Host Intrusion Detection in real time;
• HP-UX LDAP integration with Windows® 2000;
• HP NonStop/K2 Defender for intrusion detection and reporting;
• HP Atalla Trusted PrintMail Center for in-house generation and printed distribution of sensitive data;
• HP Atalla Secure Configuration Assistant for simplified network security management;
• HP ProtectTools for data protection and controlled network access for notebook PCs;
• HP ProtectTools Embedded Security for built-to-order, TCPA/TCG-standards-based security embedded in device hardware;
• HP Security Review Services for identifying and protecting against vulnerability of wireless networks.
