HP Names Global Interactive Advertising Agencies
PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 6, 2003
HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced the consolidation of its roster of worldwide interactive advertising agency partners. Goodby Silverstein & Partners will be the lead agency for developing the online component of HP's brand efforts, Modem Media and FCBi have been selected as the worldwide network agency for HP's interactive advertising, and OptiMedia will continue to be responsible for media placement worldwide. Additionally, The Publicis Groupe will have a limited interactive advertising engagement for HP's Personal Systems Group.
The firms were selected based on their creative strengths in interactive advertising, strategic support capabilities and global reach.
"The selection of these agencies is integral to strengthening the impact of HP's innovative and creative advertising presence online and also enhances our ability to speak with one voice worldwide," said Gary Elliott, vice president, HP Brand and Marketing Communications.
An Internet presence is significant to HP's brand advertising campaign. HP's "Everything is Possible" brand campaign, which launched in the United States on Nov. 18, 2002, included a significant interactive component. The campaign features a series of vignettes that showcase the ways in which HP technology and people help customers do more.
The online ads appeared on major media Web sites. HP also took over premier placement on the Yahoo! site for the entire week of the launch.
