HP Launches Worldwide Developer and Solution Partner Program

Independent Software Vendors, Systems Integrators and Consultants to Benefit from World-class Support

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 4, 2002

HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced the rollout of its new Developer and Solution Partner Program (DSPP). Made available worldwide on Nov. 1, DSPP provides independent software vendors (ISVs), systems integrators and consultants with tools aimed at propelling them through their entire product lifecycle from initial development to market introduction.

In order to deliver an adaptive infrastructure to HP's customers, DSPP combines the best of the former Compaq Solutions Alliance program and HP's pre-merger Developer and Solution Partner Portal, as well as several additional benefits. Key features include:

  • Experienced business representatives in all regions around the world with multi-language capability, available to assist partners in maximizing their benefits throughout their entire go-to-market process;
  • Discounts for all participants of up to 73 percent on a broad range of HP development systems as well as free access to extensive development and support offerings such as remote access to systems, software developer kits and training;
  • On-site or remote access to technical engineering assistance at HP centers for technical development, porting and optimization; and
  • An integrated portal containing a wealth of product and service information, access to marketing programs and services, timely communications and partner collaboration opportunities.

"Partners have always been central to HP's strategy," said Nigel Ball, vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Solution Partners. "The HP philosophy to partnering is, and continues to be, to support our partners throughout their entire product lifecycle. The new worldwide Developer and Solution Partner Program enables us to provide even better support to our ISV and systems integrator partners, so together we can deliver the very best solutions to our customers and enable them to be as agile and flexible as market conditions demand."

"Heroix Corporation has worked closely with HP for the last six years. During this time we have been constantly impressed with the level of support that HP has offered us and the overall sophistication of its partner program," said Rick Lane, president and chief operating officer at Heroix, a leading provider of application performance management software. "With this new program, HP seems set to offer its partners even more tools and information to further product growth. Heroix is looking forward to reaping some of these associated benefits."

DSPP falls under the umbrella of partnerONE, the recently announced HP global partner structure that replaces some 40 programs worldwide.

More information about partnerONE is available on HP's partner Web site at http://partner.americas.hp.com. Additional information about HP's DSPP is available at http://www.hp.com/dspp.
