HP Delivers Performance, Value with Four Cutting-edge Consumer Notebooks

HP (NYSE: HPQ) today announced four new wireless-ready notebooks, including the Compaq Presario 900 and 1500 series as well as the HP Pavilion zt1200 and ze5100 series.
These cutting-edge notebooks are targeted to mobile users who want true desktop performance and the freedom of a notebook as well consumers seeking exceptional multimedia performance at an outstanding value.
Compaq Presario 1500 Series
The Compaq Presario Notebook 1500 series offers simplicity and functionality with everything you need in a notebook, and it comes in an attractive, dual-tone design. It features a cutting-edge digital multimedia experience and Compaq's award-winning MultiPort for wireless Internet access, designed for state-of-the-art connectivity and robust security.
With a large, 15-inch viewing area, the Presario 1500 is the ideal portable system for the home and home office for true desktop performance with the freedom of a wireless notebook.
Its Intel® Pentium® 4 processor offers high performance for the newest, compute-intensive e-business applications, operating systems and data-intensive tasks -- meeting the demanding performance needs of the home user. The Presario1500 also delivers a high level of performance required for a variety of multimedia activities, including Internet audio and streaming video, image processing and video content creation.
Other features include an IEEE 1394 port, Port Replicator with NIC pass-through for customers seeking desktop functionality, full port replication and cable management, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics controller and the latest USB interface standard, USB 2.0, which offers 40x the throughput of USB 1.1 in addition to backward compatibility.

Compaq Presario 900 Series
The Compaq Presario Notebook 900 series provides high performance at a great price without compromising on features. The stylish, easy-to-use series is optimized for wireless connectivity, so users can connect to the Internet or other online applications with maximum flexibility.
The Presario 900 also offers graphics and entertainment features necessary for work, school or home, including the mobile AMD Athlon XP processor, which is designed to offer compelling performance for running Microsoft® Windows® XP. The raw power and robust features of AMD's processor enables users to run multiple applications at the same time.
Other features include the Compaq MultiPort for wireless access available with 802.11b or Bluetooth and a digital video port (IEEE 1394) for video capture, allowing greater performance from digital camcorders, portable drives, scanners, printers and other peripherals.

HP Pavilion zt1200 Notebook Series
The HP Pavilion zt1200 notebook series is a thin and light retail notebook combining eye-catching aesthetic appeal with multimedia features and some of the industry's best new technologies.
Its new ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 discreet graphics controller enables users to get the most out of their multimedia experience, without compromising basic mobility computing needs. The HP Pavilion zt1200 notebooks also feature an integrated secure digital/multimedia card slot for flexible digital media sharing and storage including photos, files and MP3s.

The device combines great value and the latest technology in a sleek industrial design without sacrificing multimedia and entertainment capabilities, including the ability to watch DVDs, download MP3s and burn personal music CDs.
Complete with a powerful Intel Pentium 4 processor, a built-in DVD+CD-RW combo drive, as well as a floppy disk drive and modem/LAN combination, this notebook provides the power and connectivity options to run today's multimedia-intensive computer programs.
Using the DVD+CD-RW drive and TV-out port, watching DVD movies on the big screen is as simple as plugging into the television. The Pavilion ze5100 empowers users with on-the-go digital multimedia capabilities allowing them to edit and transfer digital videos through the IEEE 1394 port.
