Compaq Declares Regular Dividend

HOUSTON, September 10, 2001

The Board of Directors of Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) has declared a $0.025 per share quarterly dividend on the company's common stock.
The dividend is payable on October 19, 2001 to shareholders of record on September 28, 2001.
