TRIRIGA Teams with Compaq to Deploy End-to-End Technology Infrastructure for Web-Based Process Automation Software Platform

LAS VEGAS, June 19, 2001

Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ), announced today that it has provided $8 million in end-to-end computer technology and solutions as part of a strategic business relationship with TRIRIGA INC., a leading provider of software to automate design and build processes for a range of industries across the Internet, including construction, architecture, engineering, and manufacturing.

TRIRIGA has selected Compaq to build a world-class data center and technology infrastructure for its new software platform, TRIRIGA Intelligent Business System™ (IBS™), which is delivered on a hosted basis via the Internet. TRIRIGA IBS is being officially launched today at A/E/C Systems 2001 in Chicago.

As part of the relationship, Compaq has also been named TRIRIGA's exclusive technology provider for enterprisewide standard products and services, including high-performance AlphaServer™ systems, StorageWorks™ storage solutions, Deskpro™ desktops, Armada™ notebooks, market-leading Compaq ProLiant™ industry standard servers, the award-winning Compaq iPAQ™ Pocket PC, and professional services from Compaq Global Services. The iPAQ handhelds will be used to download forms in the field, increasing efficiency and improving operations.

TRIRIGA selected Compaq's AlphaServer systems running Tru64™ UNIX for high availability clustering to serve as the key technologies to grow its new application service provider business. Compaq will provide a substantial portion of TRIRIGA's Internet infrastructure to sustain the new company's evolution and anticipated growth.

"Because we offer our product through a hosted model, TRIRIGA needed to build an infrastructure that offers high availability, scalability and reliability," said Anthony A. Marnell III, president and chief executive officer of TRIRIGA INC.

"Compaq's powerful deployment, management capabilities and Internet infrastructure solutions provide us with a competitive advantage that can scale to our business, and enhance the experience for our customers," Marnell said.

Backed by three generations of building and construction expertise, the concept for the TRIRIGA platform was initially created to help Marnell Corrao Associates (MCA) manage all phases of its construction and management operations. MCA is a preeminent design and build organization that has constructed several world-class properties in Las Vegas, including the Bellagio Hotel, New York-New York, Treasure Island, Mirage Hotel, and Caesars Palace Forum Shops.

TRIRIGA IBS is the first Web-based process automation system that delivers an integrated suite of tools to manage all aspects of the design and build lifecycle. Used to manage large-scale projects, such as the development of shopping malls, hotels, ships, and planes, IBS includes tools to support design intelligence and specification, project management, estimating and budgeting, bidding and procurement, and supply chain initiatives. With IBS, organizations leverage a centralized system for worldwide partners and project teams to share information and knowledge across the Internet, achieving significant time and cost efficiencies.

"Compaq's industry-leading Internet technology and solutions clearly outmatch any of the other players in this field, so we are pleased to be able to strategically partner with an emerging leader such as TRIRIGA to provide a robust IT infrastructure, from hardware and software, to services that can scale TRIRIGA's business," said Leigh Morrison, vice president of Compaq's West Region.

By teaming with TRIRIGA, Compaq expands its presence in the growing design and build industries, which leverage the TRIRIGA software to streamline the development of projects for civil and electrical infrastructure; telecom; commercial, residential, and government building; manufacturing; aerospace and nautical; and automobile, railways, and public transportation.
