Compaq Wins "Top 25 in Wireless" Award in Major Industry Report (Advisory)

Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) announced today that it has been named as one of the "Top 25 Most Innovative Wireless Companies" by Unstrung, an influential voice in the wireless industry. Unstrung selected the Top 25 after evaluating more than 1,500 companies in the wireless industry. This is the first year Compaq has been named to the high-profile list.

Unstrung, which publishes a well-known online magazine, noted Compaq's end-to-end wireless offerings, which range from business-critical solutions in the core network infrastructure of the world's major carriers to wireless products for the enterprise, and finally, to handheld and portable wireless technologies.
