Compaq Offers New Certification Programs Aimed at Enterprise Customers(Advisory)

As part of worldwide efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and respond to a shortage of IT skills in the marketplace, Compaq has developed several new system engineer certifications for the company's enterprise-computing customers.
New system engineer certifications for Compaq's enterprise platforms include NonStop Himalaya Systems, AlphaServer /Tru64 UNIX V5, AlphaServer /OpenVMS v7, additional designations for Compaq ProLiant platforms and a Master ASE - SAN Architect. New operating system certifications include NonStop Kernel Systems Engineer, Tru64 UNIX v5 Systems Engineer, and OpenVMS v7 Systems Engineer. New platform-specific warranty service certifications complete the new program, which is now known as the Compaq Accredited Professional program.
Over the past 10 years, Compaq, along with customers and partners, has built a strong foundation of more than 50,000 Accredited Systems Engineers and certified customer-service professionals worldwide. These new certifications are designed to strengthen Compaq's commitment to building technical skills in the marketplace.
Compaq certified professionals are trained to plan, deploy, troubleshoot and maintain the company's systems and solutions. They include Compaq customers, authorized resellers, service providers and integration specialists, plus information-management personnel responsible for Compaq solutions and systems.
