Innovative Compaq Storage Software Simplifies SAN Management (Advisory)
SEVILLE, Spain, March 7, 2001
Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today introduced SANworks Network View, an innovative storage solution that simplifies the planning and management of enterprise Storage Area Networks (SANs) through a centralized management dashboard. Customers benefit from optimal storage utilization and reduced management costs.
"SANworks Network View will give our customers the freedom to manage their storage infrastructure anytime, anywhere through the Web," Compaq Enterprise Storage Group Vice President and General Manager Mark Lewis told 3000 partners and customers meeting this week at Compaq's ENSA@Work event in Seville, Spain. "Network View truly simplifies and unifies SAN management, greatly improving the overall storage management efficiency and effectiveness for IT organizations. CIOs face the constant challenge of meeting increasing storage needs on limited budgets. SANworks Network View will make their job much easier."
SANworks Network View is the latest addition to the Compaq family of SAN management software from the world's leader in SAN installations. SANworks Network View will be available to customers in early Q2.
