The HP Compaq 8000f Elite Ultra Slim Desktop PC may be as small as a ream of paper, but it can have a big impact on conserving the Earth’s resources.

Inside and out, this PC is made with significantly less substances of environmental concern. It features the latest technologies for power efficiency and power management. And, it’s packaged in 100 percent recycled materials.

As a business PC, the 8000f Elite also features the robust performance and reliability you need for enterprise-wide deployment. So, it not only respects the world, it respects your workday.

Good for the environment

The 8000f Elite PC is the industry’s first Microsoft Windows® based desktop PC to be free of brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from the wall to the mouse.1

That includes all internal and external components – including the power supply, keyboard and mouse for every configuration sold. Unlike a majority of desktops today, even the power cord is PVC-free.1

Designed with the environment in mind

HP designed this PC to use less paint and more recycled parts – even the packaging in the box you receive is made from paper-based 100 percent recycled molded pulp. As an ultra-slim desktop, the 8000f Elite PC is built with fewer materials, which means fewer materials for disposal or recycling later.

Since the 8000f Elite PC is ENERGY STAR® qualified and EPEAT® Gold registered, you can feel confident that your choice meets or exceeds requirements for energy efficiency and environmental impact.

You can help reduce your environmental footprint even further with an optional HP Integrated Work Center solution, a single space-saving stand for the PC and an energy-efficient BRF/PVC-free1 display from HP.

Great for business

The 8000f Elite PC isn’t just designed for a better world, it’s designed for better business. It can be ideal for large networked environments where productivity and power efficiency are key and reliability, security and ease of use are a must.

Save energy costs. This PC’s highly efficient electrical system design and 87 percent energy efficient power supply can help keep operating costs to a minimum. In fact, while in idle state, the 8000f Elite PC has improved total energy efficiency over previous generations of the 8000 series by 30 percent.

With factory-set sleep settings, the 8000f Elite PC comes ready to start curbing consumption right away. From there, you can control energy usage further with the HP Power Assistant, 2 which lets you manage power settings across several PCs with one convenient desktop tool. Real-time reports reveal how different settings could impact PC energy consumption and costs over time.

Designed for your workday

Simplify management. HP simplifies management across the complete PC lifecycle to minimize support time and costs and reduce the impact of change. For example, the 8000f Elite PC platform leverages Intel® Core™2 processors with Intel® vPro™ technology, 3, 4 which can make remote PC management easier, regardless of operating systems.

A stable, consistent platform for a minimum of 15 months from purchase can also make enterprise rollouts and long-range transition planning easier. Further, proactive change management notifications alert you of hardware and software changes 30-60 days in advance.

Enhance security. With more threats emerging everyday, safeguarding your PCs and business data is more critical than ever. HP ProtectTools™ security software helps protect the hardware, software, firmware, and operating systems across your PC infrastructure – so you can focus on productivity, not prevention.

Worry less. When you choose the 8000f Elite PC, you choose a robust PC that’s built to last. Legendary HP quality and hours of rigorous testing in development means you can have a more stable and reliable business desktop PC from the start. HP’s world-class global services and our worldwide network of partners can provide the support you need for every stage of the PC lifecycle.

Made for the world you work in

The 8000f Elite is designed with the environment in mind and engineered for your work day. So, find out more about it today – and take a giant leap forward in reducing your carbon footprint.

1HP Compaq 8000f Elite USDT Business PC is brominated flame retardant and polyvinyl chloride-free (BFR/PVC-free); meeting the evolving definition of 'BFR/PVC-free' as set forth in the "iNEMI Position Statement on the 'Definition of Low-Halogen' Electronics (BFR/CFR/PVC-Free)’." Plastic parts contain < 1000 ppm (0.1%) of bromine [if the Br source is from BFRs] and < 1000 ppm (0.1%) of chlorine [if the Cl source is from CFRs or PVC or PVC copolymers]. All printed circuit board (PCB) and substrate laminates contain bromine/chlorine total < 1500 ppm (.15%) with a maximum chlorine of 900 ppm (.09%) and maximum bromine being 900 ppm (.09%).

2Power calculations and cost calculations are estimates. Results will vary based on variables, which include information provided by the user, time PC is in different power states (on, standby, hibernate, off), time PC is on battery or AC, hardware configuration, variable electricity rates and utilities provider. HP advises customers to use information reported by HP Power Assistant for reference only and to validate impact in their environment. Environmental calculations were based on U.S. EPA eGRID 2007 data found at Regional results will vary.

364-bit computing on Intel architecture requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, operating system, device drivers and applications enabled for Intel® 64architecture. Processors will not operate (including 32-bit operation) without an Intel 64 architecture-enabled BIOS. Performance will vary depending on your hardware and software configurations. See for more information. Dual/Quad Core is designed to improve performance of certain software products. Not all customers will necessarily benefit from the use of this technology. Intel’s numbering is not a measurement of higher performance.

4vPro Technology - Some functionality of this technology, such as Intel Active management technology and Intel Virtualization technology, requires additional 3rd party software in order to run. Availability of future "virtual appliances" applications for Intel vPro technology is dependent on 3rd party software providers. Compatibility with future "virtual appliances" and Microsoft Windows 7 operating system is yet to be determined.
