Enhanced Pre-boot Security can add another level of protection, even with multiple users per system. Combining biometrics, Smart Cards and passwords, it authenticates users before letting them log all the way into the operating system.

In our professional and workstation series, that reliability extends into the solid, aircraft-inspired construction of our HP DuraCase design. It features a full magnesium alloy chassis with a magnesium/aluminum bonded display enclosure, along with display and surface reinforcements, a four-point lock down for the lid and hardened hinges to help withstand wear and tear.

Professional and workstation series notebooks also have HP DuraKeys, coated to make keys up to 50 times more resistant to visible wear.⁷ Dual HDD support for RAID (0) striping and RAID (1) mirroring can help boost data protection and performance.
