Ask any IT manager what the most troublesome part of the job is and they're likely to tell you it's infrastructure management. For many, the older client devices that sit on desktops or travel about cause the most trouble, from both a management and a security standpoint.
HP can help you with that. Our new and improved line of trustworthy client-based technology, services and solutions for business can deliver just what you need to refresh your environment.
As a result, you can reduce the burden of IT management and enhance security and boost productivity while doing so.
These new and expanded HP desk-based products and powerful notebooks are all designed for more secure, reliable client computing and streamlined management to address your most pressing pain points.
HP business desktop PCs |

Three new business desktop PCs will feature an enhanced version of HP ProtectTools security suite for multi-layered protection of physical property and business information.(1)
HP ProtectTools help prevent unauthorized access using Smart Cards, USB tokens and other security technologies, including Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 embedded security chips, which can be remotely managed.
The new desktop PCs also offer a selection of management tools, including the Altiris migration suite and HP Client Manager Software, which help to automate deployment and management throughout the lifecycle easing the desktop PC refreshment process.
Further, HP's Change Control and Proactive Notification programs help you control the impact of change by automatically notifying you up to 60 days in advance about upcoming hardware and software changes that may impact your environment.
HP workstations |
 |
State-of-the-art security is built into HP workstations. ProtectTools, along with a lockable chassis, chassis intrusion detection and cable lock features, help keep data protected.
The HP Performance Tuning Framework, pre-installed on all Windows-based HP personal workstations, is an easy-to-use tool that guides workstation setup and tunes applications.
HP's Change Control and Proactive Notification programs also alert you of changes that could effect your workstation environment.
Together, these security and management solutions can save time and give you more peace of mind. You'll find them offered on the new HP xw9400 Workstation.(4)
HP business notebooks and tablet PCs |
 |
Lose a notebook and you could lose proprietary and personal information. HP notebook security technologies help ensure that only authorized users have access to your data. Since one single security measure is not enough, HP ProtectTools safeguards every aspect of your mobile office, including your hardware, your data, and your connectivity.
As a result, you can stay more protected and productive on the road.
You'll find HP ProtectTools on the new HP Compaq 9400, 8400, 7400, 6400, 6300 and 4400 Series Business Notebooks and Tablet PCs. These client devices are now available with Intel Core™ 2 Duo processors(5), (6) and also meet technical specifications to support the Microsoft Windows® Vista™ operating system.(7)
HP Thin Clients and Consolidated Client Infrastructure solutions |
 |
HP CCI solutions centralize desktop compute and storage resources into easily managed, highly secure data centers, while giving users the reliable performance and familiarity of a traditional desktop environment. As of November 1, you can buy HP CCI solutions from an expanded HP dealer network.
As access devices for server-based computing and blade PCs, the new HP Compaq t5725 Thin Client offers a more secure, desktop-like experience. There's no removable media at the desktop, reducing security threats. They function only when connected to a server, so product or data theft is less likely to occur. Management is done on a central server or blade PC, greatly simplifying management.
HP ThinState Capture and HP ThinState Deploy tools also allow you to easily capture and distribute "master images."
Our client management solutions portfolio, together with these new client security solutions, help safeguard your data so you can focus on not worry about your business.
