You've probably noticed the new look of our HP.com home page. And, you may be wondering why we chose to refresh its appearance.
The answer is simple: We wanted to make it easier than ever for you to shop for and learn more about HP products and solutions online.
First, we did our homework. Our goal was to develop a clear understanding of the online experience from a customer point of view what worked and what didn't work about the online experience at HP.com. We asked questions. We gathered feedback. We analyzed the input.
And what results is a simplified online experience based on customer feedback.
Now, when you visit HP.com, a simple roll of the mouse lets you easily choose the view that best meets your needs.
- Want to improve your digital lifestyle? Roll on over to the "Home and home office" portal and we'll help you do what you want to do.
- Are you a small or midsize business with a large list of computing needs? Glide over to the "Small and Medium Business" portal and we'll help you accomplish more so you can focus on your business.
- A quick flick of the mouse gives you an easy entrée into the world of "Large Enterprise Businesses" to help you synchronize business and IT.
- Move the mouse to the "Government, Health and Education" portal to learn about technology that can help improve public service.
- Shift over to the "Graphic Arts" portal for help in turning your talent into standout results. This is a new selection on the HP.com home page to help graphic designers and photographers, as well as industrial and commercial printers, discover the digital difference.
A simple, direct navigational path takes you quickly and easily to the right level of information you need to:
- Browse and buy HP products or learn about specific HP solutions
- Easily access popular areas, such as "support & driver downloads," or "supplies & accessories"
- Tap into essential functions, such as "search"
- Learn about featured products, solutions and special offers
With these changes, you can move more swiftly along a clear path of decision so you can get back to your work or back to your life.
The most successful companies consistently deliver what customers expect and need. That's why we'll continue to pursue opportunities to deliver the best online experience. Next up: A rolling worldwide deployment as we continue to carry the redesign elements throughout our online presence.
It's just one way HP consistently applies new thinking and ideas to create a more simple, valuable and trusted technology experience for you.

 Improving the customer experience
In addition to redesigning the HP.com home page, we've also taken other steps to make it even easier for consumers to find product support information on the web.
For example, HP now offers a web-based automatic product detection service that identifies the printers connected or networked to HP and Compaq PCs. Available in 14 countries, this makes it easier and faster for consumers to get the support they need any time of day or night..
To access the service, go to http://www.hp.com and click on "Support and Troubleshooting" or "Driver Downloads." Then, click on the "Start Detection" button in the middle of the page.
Stay tuned to see more about how HP is removing complexity to deliver a simplified technology experience.
