2005 HP Technology for Teaching Leadership Grant

Project Title: Flexible labs for simulations, field studies & "think aloud" assessment

Abstract: The Wisconsin team will use the HP Tablet PC's to create two mobile "on-the-fly" computer labs for chemistry, physics, and geosciences courses. The technology will also support field activities in biology and one-on-one counseling in studio/mastery- model instruction in mathematics. Learning applications include the use of simulations in physics and chemistry, visualization software in chemistry, and "think-aloud" assessments that exploit the recording and annotation features built into Tablet PCs.
