Lake City Community College
Lake City, FL, USA
2005 HP Technology for Teaching Leadership Grant

Project Title: Interactive learning: math/sci pre-teachers, intro math/sci courses, Health & Pharmacy courses

Abstract: The LCCC project is a collaboration between mathematics, science and pre-service teacher education faculty, using HP mobile technology to transform the classroom experience from lecture to an inquiry-based, interactive learning environment. Faculty turned classrooms into laboratories, allowing students "hands on" experiences with real world applications that facilitate collaboration. Phase II will expand to include additional courses in the College of Allied Health, and provide selected students with mobile technology to extend the campus to their homes.
