2005 HP Technology for Teaching Leadership Grant

Project Title: Real-time feedback and communication

Abstract: The CSM team is using Tablet PCs to foster a new level of sophistication in real-time communication between students and teachers. Students use the Tablet PCs to wirelessly exchange information with the instructor in response to open-ended questions requiring word answers, equations, graphs, etc. This year, the team will be focusing on junior-level engineering physics students who will each use a Tablet PC to manipulate simulations, annotate lecture notes, and participate in real-time classroom polling and discussions.
