(City), CA
2004 HP Technology for Teaching Grant

Project Title: Mobile Computing for Instrumentation and Measurement

Abstract: The Antelope Valley team used HP mobile computing to support the incorporation of interactive physics laboratory activities in the physics curriculum, resulting in significantly higher gains in student learning. This extension project is a collaboration between Antelope Valley College and California State University Fresno to study the effect that technology enhanced undergraduate physics courses have on the student success in junior and senior engineering courses. Engineering students enrolled in a required instrumentation and measurement laboratory course will utilize HP Tablet PC's in conjunction with a variety of measuring devices and techniques used in engineering systems.
