HP is committed to helping nonprofit organizations apply technology in meaningful and innovative ways to support their organizational goals and more importantly, the clients and communities they serve. Over the last several years, HP grant recipients have shown us the difference technology can make in improving on the important work they do in communities around the world and the positive impact it can have on the quality of life of individuals, particularly in low income communities. The HP Technology for Community Grant Initiative is designed to provide technology tools to nonprofit organizations to enhance their effectiveness and to support the innovative use of mobile technology.
In 2006, HP awarded 104 organizations in the United States and Puerto Rico HP mobile and wireless technology packages valued at approximately $17,000 each.
No additional HP Technology for Community grants will be offered in the U.S. during 2006. In the fall of 2006, please visit the HP Philanthropy web site Programs page for information about our 2007 grant offerings.
