HP in the U.S. does not accept unsolicited requests for grants.

The majority of our U.S. grants are awarded through HP-developed grant initiatives that are aligned with our philanthropy focus areas. We launch these competitive grant initiatives at the beginning of each fiscal year (November).

We will award grants only to eligible K-university schools and non-profit community organizations that meet the requirements of the specific initiatives listed below. If you contact HP with an unsolicited grant request, you will receive a generic response that reiterates this policy.

HP accepts applications for grants through our competitive U.S. grant initiatives for a limited time during the year. Learn more about our current initiatives on our grants programs page.

HP does not consider the following types of grant requests:

  • Requests from individuals (Educators can get discounts on HP products. Visit HP in Education for more information.)
  • Requests for grants for religious activities, churches
  • Requests for sponsorships or grants for conferences, seminars, contests, fund-raising activities, promotional items, sports events, marketing, TV and video production, research or feasibility studies
  • Requests from organizations that are not tax-exempt
  • Requests from individual K-12 schools (unless through one of our grant initiatives)
  • Requests from individual non-profit organizations (unless through one of our grant initiatives)
  • For-profit ventures
  • Requests from programs that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, age, disability or veteran status
  • Requests for used or obsolete equipment
  • Discounted purchases (Schools can get discounts on HP products. Visit HP in Education for more information.)
