Creating tomorrow’s entrepreneurs
HP is a longtime supporter of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, a global education and entrepreneurship training organization. HP employees participate in JA programs, including traditional classroom tutoring engagements, Whole School programs and
JA-in-a-Day. Additionally, HP sponsors student competitions that promote socially responsible business practices and entrepreneurship.
For more than 10 years, HP and Junior Achievement Young Enterprise (JA-YE) have collaborated on many programs, including the HP
Responsible Business Competition. This competition promotes and recognizes ideas students develop for socially responsible businesses. The HP Responsible Business Awards are open to student teams who have entered their JA-YE student companies for the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year.
This program is currently available in:
Europe, Middle East and Africa
HP and JA Worldwide have worked together for 13 years to host the
Global Business Challenge, which encourages teams of high school and university students to act as chief executive officers of virtual companies. Teams compete by making decisions that affect the profitability, sustainability and market share of their virtual enterprise. The final round has featured students from around the world and the
annual event has taken place near major HP sites both in the U.S. and internationally.
