As a global business, HP interacts with a wide range of communities and stakeholders that affect, and are affected by, our products and operations. Together, we address issues of concern with a shared interest and common goal — to have a net positive impact on the world.

Stakeholder engagement is an integral part of our effort to align our Global Citizenship strategy with our business strategy. A valuable and diverse group, HP's stakeholders include leaders in the communities in which we live and work, employees, investors, legislators and regulators, media, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and suppliers.

At HP, we view our ongoing engagement and collaboration with our stakeholders as essential to our success. Through this interaction, we understand our markets and customers, and are better able to address key issues and develop solutions to overcome them. Previously we only worked with our stakeholders on specific, often time-sensitive issues. Moving forward, we strive to engage more regularly with our key stakeholders to proactively address common areas of concern, including supply chain social and environmental responsibility, product take back and recycling, and disclosure, transparency and reporting metrics standardization.
