HP encourages customers to recycle rechargeable batteries. You will find these types of batteries in most laptops and handhelds, and in some cameras and printers.

HP provides funding to RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) so our customers can drop off rechargeable batteries for recycling at thousands of retail locations in the United States and Canada at no cost.

To learn more and to locate a drop off site near you: Visit www.rbrc.org or call 1-800-822-8837

Please note—RBRC is an independent third party, not affiliated with HP.

If there is no retail location near you, alternate choices include:

  • Review the listing of electronics recyclers by state in the Electronics Industries Alliance Website (http://www.eiae.org/), and coordinate with local companies that might meet your needs.
  • Coordinate with your local waste disposal provider for suitable collection events / locations.
