HP at the 2003 Business for Social Responsibility Annual Conference

The BSR Annual Conference has become the largest and one of the most important forums for corporate social responsibility (CSR) practitioners, annually bringing together over 1,000 business leaders from more than 30 countries and their colleagues in the independent and public sectors. Attending companies include HP, Coca-Cola, Nike, Patagonia, IKEA, Shell, Standard & Poor's, Hitachi, Sony, Marks & Spencer, American Express, various universities, NGOs, journalists, government organizations and many more.

This year’s conference – “Building and Sustaining Solutions” – featured more than 35 breakout sessions on significant CSR issues such as: business ethics, community investment, environment, global CSR, governance and accountability, human rights, marketplace and public policy.

While Carly gave an inspiring opening keynote speech, there were other significant keynote speeches given by, among others, Michael Eskew, CEO, UPS; Teruo Masaki, corporate senior executive vice president, Sony; and Arianna Huffington, syndicated columnist.
