Michael J. Holston

Michael's biography

Mike Holston is executive vice president and general counsel for HP. In addition to managing HP’s global legal function, he manages HP’s compliance, ethics, privacy and government affairs functions and the HP Company Foundation.

Before joining HP in February 2007, Holston was a partner at Morgan Lewis, focusing on complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense litigation. He is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and served as a prosecutor in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Holston is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been acknowledged as one of America’s leading lawyers for business. He taught a trial advocacy course at Villanova University School of Law for 12 years and also taught and lectured on trial advocacy for the National Institute of Trial Attorneys.

Holston holds a J.D. degree from Villanova University and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
